6368 Time Passages Beer SteinThe focus of this stein is Time. Time is most generally described as the period in which certain actions take place. We measure time with clocks, calendars, scales and equations. But it is the human experience in which we witness the passage of time by birth, growth, decline and death that form our most popular personal perception of time. The stoneware body presents an abundance of images that depict how time is measured; phases of the moon, clocks at various hours, sand timers, etc. There are two panels of text on the stein body that list origins of the days and months of the years as well as definitions of some of the most popular measurements of time. An actual pewter sculpted revolving globe is mounted on an axis in the center of the stein body. The globe revolves with a spin of a finger! The handle of the stein is in the shape of a wall clock with swinging pendulum and weights. The pewter lid is sculpted in the shape of a sundial. This is a limited edition of 2,000 beer steins. Made in Germany. 10 1/2". This stein is retired and no longer being made. Only a few remain. When they are sold this stein will be gone forever.Retail Price: $240.00
