 US Medic Special, 6325 & Calling Dustoff Medic Fig6325 U.S. MEDIC HISTORY BEER STEIN. This stein had been created to honor the work of the US Medic in the past, the present and the future. The body of the stein is a smooth, black glazed, high quality stoneware decorated with a platinum wrap around design. Along the top border are the words, "The History of the US Military Medics." The left side of the platinum design features a variety of Medic vehicles, emblems, and images of medics aiding and tending the wounded. Also along the left side is the first half of a timeline detailing the creation, advancement, sacrifices and participation of the US Military Medic beginning in 1775 when the Army Medical Department was formed through 1959-1975 The Vietnam War. A pewter replica of a US Military Medic emblem ornamented by the words "U.S. Medic" appears at the center of the wrap around decoration opposite the handle of the stein. Below the badge are various medic service emblems. The right side of the platinum design features more images of medic vehicles, emblems and a surgical team at work. The timeline from the left side continues on the right picking up in 1961 and concluding in 2005 with Aid provided after Hurricane Katrina. A detailed pewter figurine of a military medic aiding an injured soldier is fixed on top of the ornamental pewter lid.
